Working out the perfect measurements for a facebook display cover is not an easy task, you spend time searching facebook for the companies that have done it right, you copy the picture, design in the same size and format as the previous cover, yet when it goes live it is not clear! What do you have to do to get this right? Is it the font? is it the size of the picture? why are the graphics not clear on my version, but the person I copied it from it is perfect.
The Answer: Always go bigger, if you design your cover 200px taller and wider, when it shrinks, it will be clear again.
We have started designing the cover photo OnlySEO which we have put as the cover photo of this post, we have taken part of the banner from their website, chopped it up to fit in the measurements and have added the analytics to go over the top to show the increase in traffic in the form of mountains. As an SEO company, showing an increase in traffic is impeccable, it is the way users can associate their business with their service. They were so happy with our suggestion that they have decided to put in on their actual website, another job well done by our design crew.
